Miliband sees jobs boost from renewable energy expansion
New Energy and Climate Change minister Ed Miliband sees an opportunity for the UK as we teeter on the brink of recession."We are clear we need to do more in terms of renewable energy," Miliband told Reuters at a meeting of environment ministers in Luxembourg. "That's an important source of potential employment, and we will only see renewables grow."
Globally, new jobs in the renewable energy industry are expected to run into the millions over the next 10 years. Let's hope that the benefits for the UK are significant.
