Heat Pump Grants for your Property

Grants for approved ground source heat pump are available from the Government's Low Carbon Buildings Programme. Funding levels are as follows...

Application Grant (whichever is lower)
Small domestic Maximum of £1,200 or 30% of eligible costs
Large community Maximum of £30,000 or 50% of eligible costs

Grants can be higher in Northern Ireland or Scotland.

Grant funding is applicable only for approved ground source (not air or water source) technologies installed by an accredited contractor.

If you run a business and wish to install heat pump equipment at your premises, you can get 100% tax relief for specific systems via the Government’s Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) scheme. Technologies covered include ground, air and water source heat pump systems. ECAs are claimed in the business's income tax or corporation tax return the same way as other capital allowances.
