Wind Power Grants for your Property

Grants are available towards the cost of installing wind power technologies in your property. The Low Carbon Buildings Programme offers funding as follows...

Application Grant (whichever is lower)
Small domestic Maximum of £2,500 or 30% of eligible costs
Large community Maximum of £1 million or 30% of eligible costs

Grants can be higher in Northern Ireland or Scotland.

If you install a wind turbine then you can sell your surplus electricity, and the associated ROCs.

Finally, a few local councils offer grants for energy efficiency and (occasionally) renewable energy. It’s worth contacting with your local council to check.
